Theodore A. Ellis

March 14, 1970 ~ January 20, 2019 (age 48)

Theodore A. Ellis born March 14, 1970 to the mother of Valada M.  Ellis at Christian Hospital in St.  Louis, MO.  He was the eldest of his two siblings.  In his later years of his age he reunited with his father William Bowser and they maintained their relationship to date.  Theo was educated at Jackson School for his initial primary education and then transitioned to St. Nicholas Catholic grade school where he attended until the 8th grade. He was also baptized at St. Nicholas Catholic Church where he attended school and served as an Alter Boy every Sunday.  On days when duty called, Theo was excused from class to serve at funerals.  As he grew into his teenage years he became a DJ for the skating and he was also a performer with the Prince Jam Production Crew.  After attending high school at Cleveland NROTC High School, Theo then joined the US Army where he served for 8 years and achieved the highest rank of E4.  During the time that he served in the army Theo met and married Vonda Dowell, to that union 3 children were born.  Following a divorce from his first wife in 2004, Theo married Ramona Sheffield as well as gained to bonus children.

Theo was a computer engineer who was employed with Chief Auto Parts and later with Windstream Communications.  He enjoyed entertaining family and friends, being a DJ and cooking being known for his famous peach cobbler.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thelma Grady and James Earl Ellis, and Uncle Deacon Fillipe Ellis.

He leaves to cherish his memories and continue his legacy of love: wife, Ramona Ellis; children, Cameron Ellis, Shana John (Justin), Donovan Ellis, Chancellor Sheffield, Felyce Ellis; 12 grandchildren; mother, Valada Ellis; father, William Bowser (Genetra); brothers, Christopher Ellis, Ennis J Hinton Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
